Digi Yatra is an initiative by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and airport stakeholders. It allows digital processing of passengers at an airport across various touchpoints using facial biometrics. This technology provides a Biometric Enabled Seamless Travel (BEST) experience based on facial verification.

The Digi Yatra App is available on Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS).

All domestic passengers can use Digi Yatra for a seamless travel experience.

Digi Yatra speeds up the passenger journey from airport entry to boarding using facial biometrics. Passengers can simply link their travel details and ID in advance, and a quick face scan gets them from entry to boarding faster and with less hassle.

To register on the Digi Yatra application, passengers can follow these steps:

1. Download the Digi Yatra App : Go to the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) and download the Digi Yatra app.

2. Registration : Register using a valid phone number with the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to the phone. 

3. Link Aadhaar Credentials : Link Aadhaar credentials either with Aadhaar or using Digi Locker.

4. DigiLocker Registration : If Digi Locker registration is not done with Aadhaar ID, complete this step.

5. Validate Identity : Take a selfie and validate it with Aadhaar ID.

6. Upload Boarding Pass : Before departure, scan the boarding pass or upload it as an image or PDF. 

7. Share Data : After scanning, provide consent to share credentials and boarding pass data with TRV for confirmation.

By following these steps, passengers will be successfully registered on the Digi Yatra platform.

Upon arriving at the airport, please follow these steps:

1. Terminal Entry : Enter the terminal through the Digi Yatra gate.

2. Boarding Pass Scan : Have the boarding pass ready for scanning.

3. Facial Recognition :  Look into the biometric system.

4. Validation : Once the system validates the information, passengers will be granted entry into the airport.

Yes, passengers who have not pre-registered on the Digi Yatra app can register at Gate 2, T1, at the registration kiosk and avail the benefits of Digi Yatra on the day of travel.

Once passengers arrive at the security check touch point, they will have to use the Biometric System (face pod). The system will validate their travel itinerary. After validation, they will be allowed to proceed with security clearance before boarding the aircraft.

Digi Buddies are available at various touchpoints at the airport to assist passengers with the Digi Yatra process. The Digi Buddies wear reflective jackets with “Digi Buddy” printed on them.
